Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning visiting India
Ambassador S D Moorthy has handed over an invitation to Hon. Goc Makuac Mayol, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning to attend the 14th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership in New Delhi from 17th – 19th March, 2019.
The Minister has accepted the invitation and the delegation from Ministry of Finance and Planning is expected to leave for New Delhi on 15 March. The visit would strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and South Sudan. This occasion would be availed by the Minister to convey to the Indian business firms and Chamber of Commerce about the developments taking place in South Sudan after signing of the Revitalized Peace Agreement in September 2018 and details of investment opportunity available in the country for Indian investors. Some South Sudan businessmen have also enrolled themselves to attend the conclave in New Delhi.
Mr. Simon Akuei Deng, Secretary General of South Sudan Chamber of Commerce is also attending the conclave. The ministerial visit is expected to revive the trade relationship between India and South Sudan in the years to come.
