Jubek State government has called on citizens in the city to be cautious and report any activity of niggers to the authorities.

Niggers in Juba refer to criminal groups of organized young boys and girls who arm themselves with machetes to commit crimes.

Jubek State Minister of Information, Youth and Sports, Juma Stephen Lugga, said communities should collaborate with authorities to eradicate niggers from the residential areas.

“Your cooperation is needed to eradicate niggers from the communities.  You should make sure they are out of your communities,” Juma said.

He made the remarks during a launch of LUMA Youth Association (LYA) in Juba last Saturday.

The event was attended by prominent politicians in cluding Andrea Dominic a member of parliament at the Transitional National Legislative Assembly, Saleh Said Uku.

He also said young boys have been influenced by the commonly green leaves known as “Marungi” imported from Uganda.

“Marungi has become another danger to young people. Niggers have resorted to chewing it to cause problems in residence. We do not like it to enter into South Sudanese culture,” he added.

LUMA Youth Association (LYA) is established to foster unity and harmony among South Sudanese youth in particular Western Bahr el-Ghazal youth.

The association also aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence among South Sudanese society and preserve culture of the Balanda community.

The LYA is aimed at supporting vulnerable community members especially students in the course of pursuing their studies.
