In order to support the local society, the Chinese Medical Team working in Juba Teaching Hospital donated essential goods to Juba orphanage center on Saturday.
The team donated food items which included rice, milk, drinking water and skin irritation medicines that will support the needy children at the orphanage home.
Angelo Kenyi Simon, Director of Juba Orphanage thanked the Chinese medical doctors for their usual support.
“This is not the first time they are giving support to the children of Juba Orphanage home. These items are good. These items will be of great help to the children and it is not easy to get these services, we are grateful,” Kenyi said.
In March 2019, the Chinese government donated 7 million USD to the United Nations World food Programme (WFP) to assist the agency’s effort in the Country.
Sun Yaxi the China Medical Team leader said that by donating to the centre, they wanted to make the children’s dreams come true.
“It’s a tradition to visit the children. We pay special attention to the children and every team member is cautioned to care for the children,” Yaxi said. “We have been visiting frequently and providing medical care to the children,” she added.
Yaxi added that their visit to the orphanage home was to bid farewell to the children before the end of their stay in Juba in May.
“It is the last team project and we are making our contribution to wish happy growth to the children,” she added.
