The National Minister of Health Dr. Riek Gai Kok has decried the sorry situation at Bor State Hospital.
Dr. Kok who visited the facility last Friday described it as “challenging and heart breaking””.
Speaking to journalists after visiting the hospital, Dr. Kok revealed that hundreds of patients were sleeping outside wards of the main hospital due to congestion.
“You can’t image, patients are lying down on the ground. Many of them sleep outside the wards and especially in the verandas because the wards are full. If it rains, where will they go or when it is hot and with this hot sun heat, where will they go? he asked.
According to him, such experiences like at the Bor State Hospital should be resolved.
Dr. Kok said that the solution must be looked for to ensure that residents of Bor were rescued in that horrible situation.
